Francesca Rollins
Francesca Rollins is the 5th of 8 children. She and her 7 siblings (Cheronika, Daisy, Aaron,
Erica, Debrietta, April, and Samuel) were single handedly raised in Clinton, Mississippi, by
their mother, Brenda L. Williams. On November 5, 2012, Francesca was honored to have
given birth to her 3 year old daughter Zoie Symone, which the two of them still reside in
the City of Clinton.
In 2005 Francesca graduated from Clinton High School and continued her education at
Holmes Community College, where she was fortunate to make history as the first African
American to ever be crown Holmes Community College “Most Beautiful” 2007-2008. Alone
with this title, Francesca was also crowned Miss Tougaloo College 2008, which afforded
her the opportunity to represent the community of Tougaloo in the Miss Mississippi
Pageant. She was also blessed to have been crowned Miss Metro Jackson 2011, and
First Runner-Up to Miss Black Mississippi 2007.
These titles not only afforded her a chance to compete in State pageants, but more importantly they provided her the opportunity to perform community service by traveling across the State as a mentor speaking at different middle and high schools. Through her platform, which was targeted toward distressed families, she was able to motivate young women and children on making effective decisions, being successful students and ultimately to one day become productive citizens in the society.
While competing in pageants, and continuing her educational career as full time student, Francesca worked 7 years in corporate banking at Bank Plus. While at BankPlus, Francesca was honored by the Chief Executive Officer and awarded Membership into the prestigious BankPlus CEO 5-Star Club as the Top Sales Recipient 2015. After realizing her sales talent, Francesca transitioned careers in October 2015 where she currently works as an Account Executive for WLBT, News Channel 3, selling the stations advertisement.
Francesca is a second semester graduate student at Jackson State University, in the Department of Journalism and Media Studies pursing a Master’s of Science degree in Mass Communication. She also received her Bachelors of Science degree in Professional Interdisciplinary Studies from Jackson State University.
Francesca believes in the value of hard work, dedication, determination and ULTIMATELY putting God first. Whenever life seems too overwhelming, Francesca refers to her motivation scripture “...that the race is not to the swift, nor strong, but to those who endure to the end” Ecclesiastes 9:11
